FOR PARTNERS

You do not have to figure this out alone, either

If someone you care about is dealing with an unexpected pregnancy, you are probably feeling a lot of things right now. We are here for both of you.

How to be supportive right now

Listen without fixing

She may not need solutions right now. She may just need to talk. Being present and listening without judgment is one of the most powerful things you can do.

Avoid pressure

Whatever her decision, it needs to come from a place of clarity, not pressure. Let her know you support her no matter what.

Learn about the options together

Understanding parenting, adoption, and abortion procedures helps both of you have more informed conversations.

Take care of yourself too

Your feelings matter. It is okay to feel scared, confused, or uncertain. Talking to someone can help you process what you are going through.

How we can help

Partners are welcome at every appointment. You can sit in on the consultation, ask questions, and receive the same information she receives. If you prefer, we can also speak with you separately.

  • Attend her appointment for support
  • Ask questions about pregnancy options, next steps, and resources
  • Speak with a patient advocate one-on-one
  • Access referrals for counseling, housing, financial resources, and more

Common questions from partners

Can I come to her appointment?

Yes. Partners are welcome at all appointments. The initial intake is done privately, but you are welcome to join the conversation afterward.

What if we disagree about the decision?

That is common and understandable. Our advocates can help you both work through the conversation in a safe, confidential setting.

Is there support specifically for men?

Yes. Our patient advocates are trained to support partners. You can request a one-on-one conversation to talk through your own feelings and questions.

Does everything stay confidential?

Yes. Everything shared at our clinic stays between you and your care team. We do not bill insurance, file claims, or share information without written consent.

Confidentiality

Private rooms. Private records. No one else has to know.

What you share with us stays with us. We do not bill insurance, so nothing about your visit is sent to any insurance company. No claim is filed, no statement is mailed, and no one in your household will receive paperwork about your appointment. Records are protected under HIPAA (a federal law that keeps your medical information private). You decide who, if anyone, you tell about your visit.

Support starts with showing up

Appointments are free, private, and partners are always welcome.
